Consultancy · Data and AI governance and infrastructure
Governance that works in practice, from framework to implementation.
Orange Data Co. helps organisations strengthen their data foundations, improve operational efficiency and prepare for responsible AI adoption. The focus is on making governance and technology work together to deliver measurable business value.
What I do
Five areas of work
Each engagement is shaped around your organisation. Most combine two or more of these areas.
- 01
Governance frameworks and accountability
Practical data governance frameworks, ownership models and accountability structures, so every critical dataset, system and decision has a named owner with clear decision rights.
- 02
Requirements into processes and controls
Business, regulatory and governance requirements translated into operational processes and technical controls that your teams can run and you can evidence.
- 03
Data quality, information management and privacy
Advice on data quality, information management, privacy and compliance, including UK GDPR, so the data your organisation relies on is accurate, managed and lawful.
- 04
Data integration and AI readiness
Support for data integration, AI readiness and technology transformation, so new systems and AI tools are built on reliable, well-governed data foundations.
- 05
Stakeholder-led problem solving
Working with stakeholders across the organisation to identify operational challenges and develop scalable, commercially valuable solutions.
Accountability by design
Policies do not govern. Owners and controls do.
A framework only works when every requirement can be traced to a named owner, a process they run and a control that produces evidence. That is the test applied to every piece of work.
The result is governance your teams can operate day to day, that auditors, regulators and clients can check, and that supports the business rather than slowing it down.
- Named ownershipEvery critical dataset, system and decision has an owner with clear decision rights.
- Operational processesRequirements are written into the way work is done, not kept in a separate policy library.
- Technical controlsWhere a control can be built into a system, it is, so it runs every time.
- EvidenceEach control produces a record, so compliance can be shown rather than asserted.
How engagements work
Four stages, agreed up front
- Stage 1
Introductory call
A conversation about your organisation, the problem you need solved and what a good outcome looks like.
- Stage 2
Scoping and proposal
A written proposal setting out scope, deliverables, timeline and fee, agreed before any work starts.
- Stage 3
Design and implementation
Frameworks, processes and controls designed with your teams and put into operation, not left as documents.
- Stage 4
Handover
Documentation, named owners and evidence in place, so your organisation can run and improve it without outside help.
